Farewell 2011 ... Hello 2012

I've had a good 2011. I say this because it seems that every year around this time all I hear is that people are glad it's over. I've had my ups and downs, believe me...but I keep to my "cup is half full" mantra. Thus the birth of Bunny Daze on June 6, 2011. I hope you've enjoyed our cartoons; we will be continuing in the new year. Who knows what will turn up?! So stop by and visit, it should be an interesting year.

We All Come From The Same Tree

So I got to thinking...I do that sometimes.

We all go through stages in our lives. Some of us are at the tree stage and some at the acorn stage. What I think is right or wrong is really my personal right and wrong and others' rights and wrongs are their personal rights and wrongs. I've come to a new place in my life to respect all the differences and embrace each of our unique views on each situation. So whether you consider yourself at the acorn or the tree stage of life consider this...we are all part of the same tree.

My husband is from Atlanta, GA and this Christmas we spent the holiday with his family. 

To my amazement I saw the PINK PIG of Christmas! You can imagine my surprise...right? I've seen Santa, Elves, but never a PINK PIG! So I tip my hat to Atlanta, GA the home of the Christmas Tradition of Riding the PINK PIG!

Big News :) This Bunny Daze is more personal in nature because it goes out to our daughter Jackie and her fiancee Paul who just got engaged 2 days ago. I've been lucky enough to know Jack since she was 14 and Paul for the last 8 years.

We are so excited for the two of them!

Separation is Just Perspective

Inspiration is so interesting to me. You see I go to my drafting table every morning and draw what pops in my head. Some days I know exactly what I want to do, but others aren't as easy. Like today...so I sit there and think..and think...then I think uh oh am I out of ideas. That can't be true. 


~Then I think well there was that one quote i really like by John Muir: "When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe."


~Then I see an email from "Illustration Friday" that the topic for the week is "Separated"


~Then I think about how the book "A Course in Miracles" talks about how we are all one energy. 


~Then from today's "Abraham Hicks" quote: "We are all one Energy Stream, but what makes the separations or distinguishes the differences is perspective. You are a unique and individual perspective."

And then...came the drawing. Hope you like it.

Corner Office: Bunny Daze

I don't know about you but I love seeing where people work. Their space, the tools they like.... it helps me know them better. I find it fascinating!

Well today I thought I'd share the corner of my studio where I make Bunny every morning and some of my favorite things.

One Word...Trust

It's 2:30 in the morning and my hubby is working hard to get a deadline done for a client. I am up of moral support and sing alongs! Sometimes you have to just trust its all gonna get done and work out like you plan. I love my husband :)

So we are coming into the Christmas Holidays! This year I wanted something different for our tree. I went out and hunted for days...store after store nothing jumped out at me... I knew in my MIND what I wanted but couldn't find it anywhere. Well today it hit me. I am going to MAKE our tree...YES, you heard me right! Stay tuned for a future post of a "DIFFERENT" tree.
